Subject to other provisions set out within the Rules of Handicapping, the Rules state that an acceptable score from an authorised format of play MUST be submitted for handicap purposes. This means that where a Club runs a medal or stableford competition the scores from that competition must be processed through WHS. Competitions cannot be “declared” non-qualifying – it is a matter of fact whether the conditions for an acceptable score are satisfied. The underlying premise is that qualifying scores should be submitted throughout the year.
It should also be noted, where the conditions for the submission of an acceptable score are not satisfied, general play scores are not acceptable for handicapping purposes.
