Invicta 10s - Day 1

Date published: 5 Apr 2022

The Invicta 10s Tour got underway on Tuesday 5th April at a typically breezy, Pedham Place Golf Centre for the first of the 5 events.

19 young boys and girls played the 9-hole par 3 course and completed the skills challenges set out by Club Professionals, Tim Milford and Keiran Poole. Some of the players were returning from last year's event, while about half were newcomers. Some fantastic golf shots on display and smiles all around by children and parents alike.

Points are available at every event, the overall champion will be decided by an Order of Merit system, with double points being awarded in the final. The next event will be at Hever Castle on Wednesday 13th April.

Today's winners were:

Driving challenge – Harry Walters, 180 yards

Chipping challenge – River Fontanelli, 10 points

Putting challenge – Ellie Taylor, 36 points

Overall skills challenge winner - Dexter Stavri

9 hole winner – Caleb Twyman, 37 shots

9 hole 2nd place – Noah Norman, 38 shots

9 hole 3rd place – Hayden Hoyle, 40 shots

We would like to thank our volunteers Simon Wood, Ian Palmer, Robin Cunningham, Hollie Price-Thomas and Raif Fontanelli for their help as we couldn’t run these events without them, and Pedham Place for hosting again and for their very warm welcome.
