East Kent Futures Championship

The first of the four Kent Futures Championship events took place at Littlestone Warren on Friday 8 April. The rain held off and thankfully the wind had dropped.
Lovely to see the youngsters out there and enjoying themselves with some excellent golf being played in all categories (as you can see from the scores below).
Thanks as always to the volunteers on the day and to Littlestone Warren for hosting once again and to the staff for their usual very warm and friendly welcome.
The winners of the day were:
Gross Winner - Patrick Chenu (Chelsfield Lakes) - 31 pts
Gross Runner Up - Arthur Saunders (Littlestone) - 31 pts
Nett 1st - Imogen Kennard - 59 pts
Nett 2nd - Lexi Donohue (Canterbury) - 45 pts
Nett 3rd - George Leach (Prince's) - 45 pts
U10s Winner - Mia Frith (Hever Castle) - 39 pts
U10s Runner Up - Caleb Twyman - 33pts

Dates for the next 3 Futures Championship events are:
Wednesday, 1st June at Sittingbourne GC
Monday, 1st August at Weald of Kent GC
Monday, 8th August at The Darenth GC
All culminating in the Futures Jamboree at Littlestone Warren on the 16th August
There are 4 categories in the Futures Championships: Under 10s with no handicap, Under 13s with no handicap, Under 13s with a handicap and finally, the 13 – 18 age group with a handicap of 28 or higher or with no handicap.
