The Romer Bowl took place on Sunday 10th April at Littlestone Golf Club for the next round of the County Order of Merit.
A strong field of 52 players were aiming to lift the prestigious trophy but it was local player, Derek Kindercliff-Jones who was the only player under par after 36 holes, to claim the win from another home player, Jamie Guppy, by 2 shots. Our congratulations to Derek.
A solid 5th position from Shaun Macklin of Rochester & Cobham, was enough to end the day atop the County O.O.M. table, 1 point ahead of Hinge Trophy winner, Nick Panting. Jamie Guppy's 2nd place finish sees him share 3rd in the table with Harry Knight, just 3 points behind Shaun.
With many more events to play, it promises to be a close battle for the chance to become the Kent Order of Merit Champion.
