Senior Men beat Surrey 7-3

The Kent Seniors got their 2022 League campaign off to a 7-3 winning start with a resounding win over a typically strong Surrey team.
A match marred by a lightning suspension, almost continuous rolls of thunder and regular heavy showers still produced some excellent standards of golf from both sides.
Sub-par rounds from Bob Florence and Richard Partridge were stand-out performances, as were convincing wins from Mark Haffenden and debutant Matt Jarvis. Messrs Curtis, Holmes, Ottaway were the other winners for Kent.
A game played in a tremendously sporting spirit by both sides, in awful conditions was a great advert for Seniors golf.
