Take on a 30-foot putt to raise money to help prevent breast cancer

Date published: 23 Jun 2022

WHAT IS PUTT FOR PREVENTION?

We’re challenging golfers to take on a 30-foot putt to raise money for breast cancer prevention.

WHY 30?

We want to highlight that over 30% of breast cancer cases are preventable.  By making small changes to your lifestyle, such as staying active and eating a healthy diet, you can significantly reduce your risk of breast cancer.

The average golfer walks 3 to 6 miles during an 18-hole round of golf which is a great way to keep active!

It’s time to channel your inner Pro and Putt for Prevention!

HOW TO TAKE PART

1. Choose a date
2. Invite your fellow golfers to take on the challenge
3. Choose the hole to complete the challenge
4. Measure a 30-foot distance for the hole, 12 average footsteps are equivalent to 30 feet.
5. Ask everyone who takes part to make a donation of £5, £30 or £300
6. The winner - the golfer who gets a hole in one or succeeds in getting the ball in the hole in the fewest shots – if there is a tie, you’ll have to do a putt off!
7. The winner or the club receives 30% of the total funds and the remaining 70% is donated to Breast Cancer UK.
