Women's 2nd team lost to Hampshire

Our 2nd and final home game at Sene Valley began slightly overcast but the sun was soon shining. The morning foursomes games were all close but Hampshire took all 3 points.
As the heat built in the afternoon, all the games were hard fought and very close – 1 game finished on the 16th, 2 on the 17th and 3 on the 18th. Unfortunately, the afternoon result also went to the opposition and along with the morning points, meant the overall score was 6½ - 2½.
Our thanks go to Sene Valley for hosting our home games this year and for looking after us so well – special thanks to Andy for ferrying out water to the teams in the afternoon heat.
All the matches were played in a very good spirit – competitive but friendly. Thanks Hampshire.
