Team Waltz competition report

After a horribly grey and rainy morning, it looked like Kent Golf’s lucky sunny streak had come to an end, but by the time the ladies began teeing off in the Team Waltz at Chestfield, the skies had cleared, and all was right with the world. The worst we had to contend with was a shower of ladybirds!
Nine teams assembled for this three-a-side team game; one score to count on the first, two scores to count on the second and all three counting on the third. Then repeat for the rest of the round.
There was a positive traffic jam at the top of the leaderboard with three teams tied on 76 points and two on 77. The lucky team coming third on countback was Susan Siddle, Sandra Cobb and Tricia Stanton (all Rochester and Cobham Park). Taking second place were the ladies from Bexleyheath, Karen Hubbard, Sandra Brace and Debbi Phillips, and our winners for 2022 with 77 points were Liz Owsley (Sheerness) and Christine Dunlop and Maureen Fentiman (both Chestfield).
Well done also to our two nearest the pin winners – Kay Barnard (Chestfield) on the fourth, and Debbie Satchell (West Malling) on the sixteenth.
The course was enjoyed by all – a tough test but presented in fine condition with good and true greens.
