Parent's story about Kent Golf junior academies

Date published: 7 Dec 2022

Ellie Taylor attends Kent Golf Academy sessions, competed in the Invicta 10s and is a member of Faversham GC. Her father Colin sent us this lovely insightful parent's story:

"˜The life of a golf parent often starts as a fun adventure to the driving range with our children. This then turns into a weekly routine with PGA coaching with a roll up session growing their game and ability. Kent Golf have great golf academies to develop and nurture enthusiasm and talent. As they grow in the game as a young player and join a golf club, they make great new friendships. As a parent you get involved more with the golf club and other parents, often taking your young golfer to junior competitions, whether it being a club competition or one of Kent Golf's great junior golf tournaments. The Invicta 10s is great to watch how all the time you spend travelling around and weekly practicing gives them a fantastic hobby they can enjoy with their parents and friends and also take into adulthood.'

The photo below shows Colin and Ellie at a junior competition that Colin sponsors, called the Summer Cup, where Ellie won the best Intermediate golfer.
