Women's Golf Academies / Membership Offerings

At the recent Club Delegate and WIG Charter Champion Golf Day, there was much discussion and enthusiasm in the room for ways in which to encourage more women into golf. This is indeed one of own our key areas and in the past year we have introduced a Kent Golf Academy for Women – essentially aimed at those new to the game or looking to try golf for the first time. The Academy sessions have been met with great favour and proved very popular, but now many of these women are looking to the next stage – joining a club and in due course obtaining a handicap index.
To that end, we are looking to extend our county website page entitled ‘Get Into Golf’ to include weblinks to those of our affiliated clubs in Kent who wish to promote their own women’s academy and/or membership offering to this target group.
