Terms of Reference

OBJECTIVES

• Establish a strong understanding by Kent golfers and Kent clubs of the work of Kent Golf.
• Manage and grow Kent Golf's public image as an expert governing body for the game in Kent.
• Set the communications strategy for Kent Golf, oversee its implementation and advise, where necessary, on reputation and awareness issues.
• Encourage and promote participation in, and support for, Kent Golf activities.
• Promote an inclusive, positive public image to golfers, and prospective golfers, in Kent.
• Expertly manage our communication channels, including our website, social media, newsletters and events to increase their impact and effectiveness.
• Advise on and oversee Kent Golf’s engagement and support of Kent golf clubs.
• Support our Kent Representatives.

CHAIR’S RESPONSIBILITIES

• To Chair meetings of the Committee, agreeing and setting goals at the start of the year and monitoring performance against these goals to report progress to the Board.
• To attend Kent Golf Board meetings, reporting and advising as appropriate.
• To support Kent Golf's efforts in establishing strong and positive connections with affiliated Club Managers/Secretaries within the County, supporting the Chief Executive Officer and other key staff members in their duties where needed.
