ENTRY CRITERIA

The Terms of Entry Conditions to the Hinge Trophy have been amended to align with the entry requirements as used by England Golf to their Championship events.

• GENDER: Male
• AGE: Open to players of all ages
• HI: Players aged under 17 years old, maximum HI 5.5. Players over 17 years of age, maximum HI 5.4 at the closing date of entry
• General Play Cards:

In order to enter the KENT GOLF HINGE TROPHY an entrant must be:

• In possession of an individual up-to-date Handicap Index® not exceeding 5.4 (players over 17 years old) and 5.5 (players under the age of 17 years) under the World Handicapping System™.

  An entry may be refused if, in the opinion of the Championship Committee, a players Handicap Index is not reflective of their playing ability. This decision may be based on but is not limited to:

  (a) a handicap record (most recent 20 scores) that contains more than 4 (four) General Play scores,

  (b) a handicap record (most recent 20 scores) that contains fewer than 4 (four) Competition Scores, or

  (c) an incomplete handicap record where fewer than 20 scores have been returned.

  KENT GOLF reserves the right to contact the Club Handicap Committee to highlight the returning of General Play scores.

  * 

  For clarification – you are allowed to have more than four General Play cards in your record but if you have more than four then your record will be looked at.

  Your Competition average score will then be compared to your General Play average score.

  If your General Play average score is 2 or more lower than your Competition average score, entry will be denied.

PRIZES: Prizes from Littlestone and Royal Cinque Ports can be collected on registration at Prince's. Prizes from Prince's will be presented at the final at Royal St. George's.

ENTRY FEE: £60 incl a meal

CLOSING DATE: 19 October 2025 at 17:00. Late entries will not be accepted but may be added to a reserve list. Refunds WILL NOT be issued after the closing date

OTHER INFORMATION

• Players must be a member of an affiliated Kent club. The Club must be your “home” club
• Entrants whose home club is Littlestone or Royal Cinque Ports will play the other course. All other entrants will be drawn
• 50 PLAYERS WILL PLAY AT EACH VENUE
• Caddies are not permitted
• Round 2 at Prince's - 11 January 2026
• Final at Royal St George's - JANUARY 2026
