ENTRY CRITERIA: 

The Terms of Entry Conditions to the Men’s Kent Amateur Championship have been amended to align with the entry requirements as used by England Golf to their Championship events.

Kent Golf General Play cards 

  • GENDER: Male
  • AGE: Open to players of all ages
  • HI: Maximum handicap index 4.4 at closing date of entry
  • General Play Cards - 

    In order to enter the KENT GOLF MEN’S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP an entrant must be:

    In possession of an individual up-to-date Handicap Index® not exceeding 4.4 under the World Handicapping System™.

    An entry may be refused if, in the opinion of the Championship Committee, a players Handicap Index is not reflective of their playing ability. This decision may be based on but is not limited to:

    (a) a handicap record (most recent 20 scores) that contains more than 4 (four) General Play scores,

    (b) a handicap record (most recent 20 scores) that contains less than 4 (four) Competition Scores, or

    (c) an incomplete handicap record where fewer than 20 scores have been returned.

    KENT GOLF reserves the right to contact the Club Handicap Committee to highlight the returning of General Play scores.

PRIZES: 

  • The Champion will hold the Championship Cup
  • The Runner-Up will hold the Hetherington Salver
  • The Scratch Cup will be held for one year by the Competitor with the lowest gross score over day one’s 36 hole stroke play
  • The Astor Cup will be held for one year by the Competitor with the lowest nett score over day one’s 36 hole stroke play
  • The Simpson Cup will be held for one year by the Competitor, under the age of 25 years on the day, with the lowest gross score over day one’s 36 hole stroke play

ENTRY FEE: £65

CLOSING DATE: 16 May 2024 17:00. Late entries will not be accepted but may be added to a reserve list. Refunds WILL NOT be issued after the start sheet has been published

OTHER INFORMATION

  • Players must be a member of an affiliated Kent club. The Club must be your “home” club
  • Entry limited to 72 players
  • By entering, you are committing to potentially playing 6 rounds of golf in 3 days
  • The Champion is also expected to represent the County in the England Golf "Champion of Champions" National Competition at Woodhall Spa on 14 & 15 September 2024
  • The winners of the Champion Club competition will be invited to represent Kent at the Men's Champion Club event at Stanton on the Wold GC on 21 & 22 September 2024
  • Caddies are allowed, other than a qualified professional golfer
  • The decisions taken by the Championship Committee for the Kent Amateur Championship are final
