MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS IN THE WORKPLACE

When:

Tuesday 20 January @ Sittingbourne & Milton Regis GC.

Introduction:

This dynamic and interactive workshop is designed to help staff gain more awareness of their own mental health and mental wellness including that of others.

“At Kent Golf, we believe mental health is just as important as physical health. We encourage every club to appoint a Mental Health First Aider to create a more inclusive, supportive environment where members feel safe and valued. With a dedicated Mental Health First Aider like Rachael Walsh, we’ve seen how it raises awareness, breaks down stigma, and provides early support. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our members.”

Topics include:

  • Understanding the meaning of Mental health, mental ill Health and the effects of Stress
  • Risk Factors associated with Mental Health
  • Social and cultural attitudes to Mental Health
  • Learning about a range of Mental Health conditions and signs and symptoms related to them
  • Understanding and managing stress in the workplace
  • Understanding why mental health is not discussed in the workplace
  • Learning how to support staff at work
  • Understanding emotional intelligence and how it can improve our mental health and wellbeing
  • Implementing action plans to promote a healthy workplace

The day involves much discussion and interaction, so please come ready to talk and learn!

NB: There is no charge to attend this workshop. To be fair to all clubs, we respectfully ask that only one appointed person from a club signs up to attend.
