Junior Championship 2021

Wednesday the 18 of August saw a number of Kent Juniors Competing for the Junior Championship at Prince's, Sandwich.

With a mixture of sun, wind and rain throughout the day the competitors certainly felt like they worked hard for the championship. With the Handicap championship being 18 holes and the scratch being 36 holes the competitors enjoyed the championship links for a day.

The handicap event was won by Jack Mayer (Royal Blackheath) with a nett 69, 2nd place going to Patrick Cheju (Chelsfield Lakes) with nett 72 and in 3rd place George Leach (Prince's) with a nett 74.

In the 36 Hole Championship and the Kent Junior Champion for 2021 was Lucas Dennison (Rochester & Cobham), winning both the Under 18 and Under 16's trophies. Lee Carew (Chelsfield Lakes) finishing runner up and William Partner (Sene Valley) in 3rd place.

The nett in the 36 hole championship was won by Martin Taylor (Redlibbets)

A huge thank you to Prince's Golf Club for presenting the course so beautifully for all of the competitors and for their generous hospitality throughout the day.
