Purpose & Aim	Kent boys Under 18 team represent our elite junior golfers. Handicaps range from scratch to plus with many of the boys competing at the highest National level.

Team Captain	Abe Bignell Abe’s home club is Kings Hill GC, he has represented Kent since he was 12 years old and has been the under 16’s captain. He reached the final stages of open qualifying last year and won a number of adult and junior Kent competitions. He says: “I’m very honoured to be asked to captain Kent under 18’s this year. We have an exceptionally talented squad and a superb team spirit that should make us hard to beat. I can’t wait to get going to show what the lads are capable of. I’ve known the lads for years and I admire all of them for their dedication, determination and commitment to play golf at the very highest level, I’m truly proud to have been asked to captain them this year.”
Training & Coaching	A number of coaching days and practise rounds are organised throughout the year aimed primarily at fine tuning shot making and short game skills. Competitive practise within the squad is encouraged as well as sessions with our specialised putting coach.
Matches & Competitions	The U18s play in the SE England League against Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex at home and away in order to progress to the Final. Our main aim is win the 6 man SE England Strokeplay team event in order to progress to the English County Finals. There are a number of training days, friendly fixtures, and a foursomes event, as well as a stand alone event for U17s.
