Kent Golf Approved Junior Academy at Chart Hills

Nick Olson, PGA Coach

Nick is an experienced PGA coach, helping players develop for over 13 years, from beginners to professionals. Nick is a former Kent Junior and Youth Champion, and has also won events at College in the US and as a professional. Nick utilises TrackMan 4, video analysis and stats tracking programmes for his coaching. The Academy will be focused on developing the technical skills of each player in every area of the game, including course strategy and mental game skills.

BOYS U18s ADVANCED ACADEMY

This Academy is for boys under the age of 18, who are just below full squad standard to try and get them to the required level. Monthly sessions are held on Saturday afternoons, encompassing many elements to help improve technique and scoring capabilities.

Kent Golf have identified this area, where young golfers can get lost once outside the boundaries of the squads so they strive to keep them on the radar as all golfers develop at different rates. Kent Golf are keen not to lose these players and keep them enjoying the sport they have dedicated so much time to.

The Academy will be based at Chart Hills Golf Club, which is one of Kent’s premier facilities. Chart Hills has a championship golf course, 6 hole Par 3 course, 300 yard grass tee range, large putting green, large chipping green, extensive practice bunker and indoor studio.

THE SESSIONS INCLUDE:

Technical help for each player (complementing any personal coaching the player may be
already receiving)
Skills Testing - utilising TrackMan 4, Practice Targets, Chart Hills Par 3 course & Championship course
Personalised Goal Setting and Practice Plans
Range balls included during the coaching sessions on behalf of Kent Golf
Possibility of squad selection through monitored results

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:

You must be aged between 15 to 18 years of age on the 1 January 2024
You must have a handicap of 9 or less held at a club affiliated to Kent Golf. Please be aware a lowest handicap ballot will take place if the sessions are over subscribed
An online Annual Junior Player Profile & Parental Consent Form must be submitted prior to attendance
Entry fee payment must be received by Kent Golf prior to the first session

2024 DATES:

Saturdays 1.30pm to 3.30pm
June and July sessions will be 1.30pm to 4.30pm
